PRAYER REQUEST:  Continue to pray for Mark Gazan as doctors discern the causes of heart arrhythmias, and determine next steps. Continue to pray for those in our congregation who deal with ongoing health issues.

THE FOLLOWING  individuals were elected as officers of Zion Reformed Church at the April 27 Congregational Meeting:
Elders: Sheila Johnson and Patti Steere.
Deacons:  Brandon Deiter and Bronson Swan.
Installation of new elders and deacons is scheduled for June 1, 2025

SUMMERTIME is a great time to volunteer for one Sunday to help either Greet, Usher, help with Child check-in, or teach or help in Zion Kids – it’s also a time when people may visit our church, so these volunteers are an important part of making a visitor feel welcome!  If you are available for one of these areas, for even just one Sunday, there is a sign-up sheet by the office.  If you have questions, please reach out to Angie.

OUR NEW electronic access control system is still in the process of being installed. During this transition, electronic access to the building will be temporarily unavailable. If you need access to the building during office hours, please call the church office when you arrive at door A so we can let you in.

CAMP ZION is collecting empty shoe boxes for a craft project this summer. If you have any you can donate please place them in the CZ bin in the lobby.  Also, our Camp Zion 2025 Amazon Wish List has been posted. Items will be added regularly between now and the start of camp, so check back often to see what is needed. If you are willing and able to purchase any items for this summer that would be appreciated. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/dl/invite/aS9JGJN?ref_=wl_share

THIS SUMMER we are collaborating with five other Grandville churches to provide a weekly Art in the Park opportunity for families at Wedgwood Park!  (scan the QR code to  discover more about each church participating). Zion is scheduled to provide the craft and snack on June 18th and July 16th. We need a few volunteers to help prior to these dates to prepare the crafts – this can be done at church or take the supplies home and work on at home! We also need a few volunteers on both those dates to help supervise the crafts and hand out snacks! If you are able to volunteer for either of these, please let Angie know! All of our families are invited to this every week, some come when you can any time between 10 am – 12 pm and invite your friends and neighbors to join!

MEET OUR NEW DIRECTOR OF YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS, ANDREW RONZINO!

Andrew Ronzino was born and raised on Long Island, New York, and moved to the Grand Rapids area when he was nineteen to do a youth ministry internship. He’s been in Michigan ever since, serving in various volunteer roles with middle school, high school, and college-aged ministries.

He met his beautiful wife, Alyssa, in 2020, and they married in October 2023. Alyssa has been an amazing champion for Andrew and his biggest supporter! He’s so grateful to have her by his side in this new venture in their lives.

Andrew is a writer and author with several published short stories and is currently working on a novel, slowly but surely. In his free time, he loves reading, acting, watching movies, and playing just about any kind of game: board games, tabletop RPGs, video games, card games, you name it. He enjoys spending time with friends and family, and he may or may not break into dance when he thinks no one’s watching. He likes chocolate and has a weakness for Chinese food. He’s a New York Yankees fan, please don’t hold that against him.

Andrew grew up in a strong Christian home and has always strived to keep God at the center of his life. He’s excited to be part of the Zion Reformed family and looks forward to what God has in store!

Andrew will officially start on June 8!
