Welcome to Zion Reformed Church

At Zion, we recognize that we don’t have all the answers. We don’t even have all the questions yet.

But, we have joined each other on this journey of faith to walk together as we seek God throughout our lives. Simply put we are: real people with real problems seeking real answers from a real God.

If you join us on this journey of faith to the promise land of deep intimacy with God, we can’t promise an easy Sunday stroll, but we do promise to walk with you through every peak and valley of life.

This Week's Message

128 years ago, skilled tradesmen and factory workers banded together to fight for safer working conditions, livable wages, shorter work days, and a national holiday to honor the contributions of working men to our great nation. On September 5, 1882, New York City celebrated the first Labor Day and by 1894 it had become a national holiday. As we gather for worship on this Labor Day weekend, we remember that it was our God who first gave us work to do: tending the garden and naming the animals. Work is a gift from God which we steward and use to bring God glory. Whether we work in a factory or office cubicle, in the classroom or in the kitchen, each job has value as we model the creativity and diligence of our God. This morning, we consider together the importance of work and communal support as we reflect on 2 Thessalonians 3:6-15. On this Labor Day we remember that is was God who told us to be Working’ for a Livin’.
